Spay & Neuter
Spay - (ovariohysterectomy) - surgical removal of ovaries and uterus of a female.
Neuter (orchiectomy) - surgical removal of the testes of a male.
Spaying and neutering prevent stray animal overpopulation. In addition to controlling unintended pregnancy, there are also other health benefits for your pet. Spaying a female prevents pyometra (life-threatening uterus infection) and lessens the occurrence of mammary (breast) cancer. Neutering a male prevents testicular cancer and greatly reduces the incidence of prostate issues.
Osborne Animal Clinic also participates in spaying and neutering for Decatur Animal Services in a continued effort to reduce homeless animals

Soft Tissue Surgery

Orthopedic Surgery
Orthopedic surgery (bone surgery) is offered at Osborne Animal Clinic. Surgical correction of broken bones such as pinning, cross pinning, casting and splinting is available. Surgical correction for MPL (medial patella luxation) of the knee and ACL repair (anterior cruciate ligament) of the knee, are among other therapies.
Reproduction Services
We provide Progesterone Testing, Artificial Insemination, and Surgical Artificial Insemination. C-section instead of whelping naturally is available. We specialize in reproductive services for French Bulldogs and other challenging breeds. Male dog semen collection and testing are available.
