Canine Influenza

March 20th, 2023

Currently, there is an epidemic of canine influenza in Birmingham. To combat this serious illness, two separate injections of vaccines for H3N8 and H3N2 are available, with a two-week interval between them. As a safety measure, we have mandated that ALL canines who are enrolled in Lucky Dog Daycare or Boarding at Osborne Animal Clinic must receive the vaccination.

Canine Influenza 

Due to a breakout of canine influenza in Birmingham, we are taking several measures to get ahead of the surge in our state. We are REQUIRING all dogs attending Lucky Dog Daycare or boarding at Osborne Animal Clinic be vaccinated for this virus. Dogs will NOT be allowed in daycare or boarding after August 19, 2022, unless vaccinated. 


The initial vaccine is $46.50 with a follow-up vaccine in two-three weeks of $46.50. Then annual boosters. Eligible for canine a minimum of 9 weeks or older in good health.
